Handfasting is the act of the prospective bride and groom facing each other and joining hands --- sometimes right hand to right hand and left hand to left ---  and being bound by ceremonial wrap, rope or cord.  This 'tying of the knot' signifies the oneness and the unity of the couple.

Simple and meaningful, these were the hallmarks of the Celtic wedding and the first steps to a happy life.  Modern loves can look to these traditions to bring meaning to their own ceremonies as they hope for their own happy futures.

I would be truly honored to be included in your special day as your officiant!  Let me help you craft a ceremony that would be uniquely yours and one that you would treasure as a lasting, loving memory.
